Happy Birthday, MtM Podcast!

Making the Museum, the podcast, just turned 2. Aww. So cute!

And I found out the modern way: my software sent me a digital accomplishment badge. I might digitally frame it.

It’s been quite a couple of years, and if you haven’t checked out the podcast yet, give it a listen. Here are some stats:

> 2 years of episodes

> A 5.0-star rating (!)

> #1 on Apple Podcasts and Spotify for the keyword “museum” (!!)

> Listeners in 100 countries (!!!)

> 26,000 downloads total, and counting

> 3x-4x more listeners per episode than the audience of an AAM panel session (and MtM guests don’t even need shoes)

> More listeners per episode than the keynote audience at a MAAM conference (one of which I just moderated, so I beat … myself?)

> A new episode every ~2 weeks (which surprises me, though that was the plan)

Here’s the thing:

More importantly, I’m grateful for:

> An amazing, growing roster of expert, thoughtful, industry-leading guests

> The support of my team at C&G Partners, the exhibition and experience design studio

> You, the listener, without whom none of this would have been possible

Thank you!

Warmly,
Jonathan

Final Deadline!
Have you worked on a great exhibition or experience design project recently? The SEGD Global Design Awards final deadline is this week, on March 15. “Since 1987, the SEGD Global Design Awards have set the standard of excellence for experiential design, honoring work that connects people to place.” (And I’m not just saying that because I’m the Jury Chair this year.)
