Takeaways

What one thing, or two — Ten? Sigh. — do you want your visitors to leave thinking? Your takeaways are the purpose of your project.

And so, you are in one of three camps right now. Which?

Don’t Know
If you don’t know your main takeaways, you might be wasting 100% of your resources.

Do Know, Haven’t Focused
If you do know, good. You might be wasting less than all of your resources. But you are still wasting some if you haven’t also focused your project, by doing your best to remove everything that doesn’t contribute.

Do Know, Have Focused
If you do know, and you have ruthlessly removed everything in your project that does not contribute to the takeaways, you are wasting much closer to 0% of your resources.

Here’s the thing:
Our projects are spatial experiences just long enough to offload their takeaways into the minds of our visitors. If they succeed, they live on in thousands, or millions, of souls.

If they don’t, they die every time a visitor leaves.

Do you know your takeaways?

Warmly,
Jonathan
