SEGD Global Design Awards: Worth Checking Out

Got a recent exhibition or experience project that might have a shot at winning … an award?

If you do — or if you just want to see some great exhibition design work — check out the Global Design Awards held by SEGD, the Society for Experiential Graphic Design.

“Since 1987, the SEGD Global Design Awards have set the standard of excellence for experiential design, honoring work that connects people to place.”

Note: I might be a little biased. I’m a past President of SEGD. And this year, I’m the Chair of the Jury for the awards.

But this is about you, really.

Check out the categories of awards. You might find one that’s right up your alley. (Does that expression seem odd to anyone else?)

And there is a category for exhibitions, so if that’s the alley you’re, um, up, take a look at the past winners for sure.

Here are the deadlines:

- Early: Jan 31 (soon!)
- Late: Feb 28
- Final: March 15

Here’s the thing:
Whether you submit or not, the SEGD Global Design Awards are worth checking ou.

Warmly,
Jonathan

MtM Word of the Day:
Mood board. A visual collage combining images, words, and/or bits of materials. Originally an actual board. Now usually digital. Used to inspire design by seeing what’s already been done. (If you want to do something actually new, please go a step further and make a Bad Mood Board instead.)
