Glowing Rectangles

Before they come to our experiences, there is one thing our visitors see a lot of.

Glowing rectangles.

They’re everywhere. The sheer number is huge, and growing.

In less than one day, it would be totally normal for you to consume information from your

phone,
laptop,
refrigerator,
video game console,
VR headset,
television,
home voice assistant premium model,
doorbell cam,
nanny cam,
car dashboard,
car headrest backs,
drive-through order station,
parking garage,
office computer,
office elevator,
office lobby,
office bathroom,
taxi seatback,
highway exit sign,
airport ticket counter,
airport departures board,
airport lounge ceiling,
airport ads,
airport restaurant table,
airplane seatback,
ebook,
and left wrist.

But this presents an interesting opportunity, because one way we can work with glowing rectangles to delight our visitors is this:

Don’t have any.

We could have lots of digital content, just not in glowing rectangles. We could have other forms. Or project onto stuff, which oddly always works.

Or maybe sometimes have no digital content.

At all.

Here’s the thing:
Our visitors have plenty of glowing rectangles. What are we going to give them that they don’t already have?

Warmly,
Jonathan
