The Big Light Bulb in the Sky

Let’s use a projector and make our content huge, on the wall of the lobby!

At night?

No, during the day!

But our lobby is all glass, and we’re in Arizona.

That doesn’t matter!

Our projector can’t compete with the big light bulb in the sky.

What big light bulb?

The sun.

We just need a bigger projector!

Bigger … than the sun?

Here’s the thing:
Even the brightest projectors need darkened spaces. Unlike light from a monitor or LED wall, projector light has to bounce off a surface first, then return to our eye. If sunlight hits that surface also, it will brighten it, and your image will get washed out. When projectors fight the sun, they almost always lose.

Don’t compete with the big light bulb in the sky.

Warmly,
Jonathan
